The villa is located in the quiet, unspoilt village of La Pared on the rugged west coast of Fuerteventura. La Pared is a haven with no high-rise buildings. It has a beautiful golden sandy beach (Playa del Viejo Rey) with excellent surf, another beach with black volcanic stones, two excellent restaurants (one within walking distance), two bars, two or three surf schools, a riding school, and pitch and putt golf course. For calm seas, kite surfing and nightlife, there is a short, seven-minute drive to Costa Calma on the east coast of the island. The airport is 65 km or 50 minutes’ drive away. The village has a very favourable climate, with average approximate air temperatures in January of 20°C and in August of 25°C. During the summer, the north-east Trade Winds ensure a steady cooling breeze. There is a wide range of outdoor pursuits available nearby, including walking, swimming, surfing, wind-surfing, horse riding, golf, quad-biking, off-roading, deep-sea angling, birdwatching, catamaran and submarine trips. The championship golf course at Costa Caleta is 40 minutes’ drive away and the new course at Jandia is about 15 minutes’ drive. There is a public bus service which calls in La Pared.
